The Cheffy Doula?
Hi! I’m Chassis (pronounced chas-sis). The Cheffy Doula was birthed from two businesses that I created: Foodtellect Personal Chef Service in 2015, and Little Feet & Violets Doula Service, in 2020. I’ve loved cooking since I was a teen: the idea of taking simple ingredients and combining them to make something new has always been extraordinary. My love for food, having creative freedom, and cooking for others is how Foodtellect PCS started. Fast forward to 2020, and life had changed a lot. As a woman of color and a mom, I had experienced a whirlwind of both beautiful and tragic experiences during my journey of parenthood. I also noticed a void when speaking with other moms, so I became a full spectrum doula to support other families during their own journeys. Shortly after that, I pursued certification in perinatal nutrition education.
With 16+ years of culinary experience and 4+ years of doula experience, fast forward to 2025 & everything has come full circle with The Cheffy Doula. All of the passion and support no longer in separate pans, but finally in one pot (yes, I’m that person with the food analogies!). Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to cook with and learn from inspiring people, I’ve had the honor of providing meal support for a very diverse group of individuals and families, and I’ve also had the honor of supporting families as they grow. The journey continues!
When I'm not cheffing for or doula-ing families, I can be found being a mom to 4 beautiful humans and a wife to a Jesus-loving man. My free time is mixed with scouring cookbooks/my favorite food blogs, randomly plotting travel adventures, having random 15-minute dance parties to blaring music, & working on a healthy balance of self-soothe and self-care.
